Lucia

Oh my beautiful little Lucia! I am so happy that I have been blessed with at least one girl! She just turned 8 a couple of weeks ago and will be baptised by her Daddy this saturday. What an exciting day for our family. She is very excited for that! She has shown great strides this year we switched schools right before school started (not the best plan for a slightly shy kid) so I believe that her testing scores did not come out well mostly due to the fact that she was nervous and uncomfortable and even though I knew that this was likely the case since she had always been so bright before it made me nervous. However we worked hard to try to catch up and we did! she is doing so well exactly where she should be! She is also taking some art classes after school and she is brilliant at it! She recently won first prize for a painting she made for an arbor day art contest.. I have yet to see it but I am so proud! She was also student of the month and she got the silver metal for her reading all on the same day. What a great day for a child!!! I am going to have to keep a close eye on this one though.. even though she is only 8 she is very beautiful and I dont think I am simply being biased because I am her Mother and she is very mature beyond her years. When I was her age I was still playing with baby dolls and barbies.. She has little or no interest in them. She prefers to listen to music (I didnt at that age) she loves the Jonas Brothers (says she "thinks they're HOT"...OH BOY!!!) she got an old computer from us for her birthday in her room and now wants to be on facebook almost constantly.. YIKES I can see this getting out of hand.. but she is a good girl we'll just have to slow her down and teach her well and it should turn out fine right?!
